Graduation Requirements

To be eligible to participate in the BCHS Graduation ceremony in June, students need to do the following to be on the Final Grad List posted on May 19, 2022.

In order to make the Final Grad List, students must meet the following requirements:

• Grades in all second-semester courses are a minimum of 45%
• Have to be attending classes regularly during the second semester.  This means 75% attendance in ALL classes.
• Have to have completed ALL major assessments in ALL courses during the second semester.
•  Have to have paid all school fees and fees for participating on a school team.

Making the final grad list DOES NOT ensure graduation. Students must meet the criteria set by Alberta Education in order to receive their high school diploma.

Graduation Requirements

Students at Bonnyville Centralized High School can graduate with either an Alberta High School Diploma or a Certificate of High School Achievement. The requirements for each can be found on the Alberta Website.

Every student in Alberta has a MyPass Account with the Alberta Government. This site is very important as it is where students can:

• check their progress towards their diploma or certificate
• order official transcripts
• check their grades on their Provincial Diploma Exams
• register and pay to rewrite Provincial Diploma Exams
• order a reprint of their high school diploma or certificate of achievement
• order letters confirming their school enrollment for Revenue Canada, Child Benefit, or other purposes
